Privacy Policy – Swipe To Back

1. Introduction

Swipe To Back (“the app”) lets you go back, open recent apps and run other system actions by swiping in from the left or right edge of the screen. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is protected.

Package name: com.controlcenter.swip_to_back

2. Use of the Accessibility Service

The app uses the Android AccessibilityService API only to provide its core feature: edge swipe gestures.

With your permission, the service is used only to:

  • detect swipes on the thin touch strips along the screen edges;
  • perform the system action you chose, such as Back, Home, Recent apps, Notifications, Quick settings, Lock screen, Screenshot, Power menu or Volume;
  • read the package name of the app currently on screen, only to pause gestures in apps you added to “Excluded apps”.

The app does not read, collect, store or share screen content, text you type, passwords or any personal data. Nothing obtained through the service leaves your device.

The service is enabled only after you agree in the app and turn it on in system settings. You can turn it off at any time in Settings › Accessibility.

3. Information We Collect

The app has no accounts and does not collect personal information.

Your preferences (edge actions, effect style and color, excluded apps, language, vibration and sound) are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

4. Permissions

  • Accessibility service – edge gestures and system actions, as described above.
  • Display over other apps – shows the swipe effect on top of the app you are using.
  • Vibrate – optional haptic feedback when a gesture is recognized.
  • Advertising ID – used by Google AdMob to show ads.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device information such as IP address, advertising ID, device model and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. This is handled by Google under its own policies; we do not receive or store this information.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share personal data. The only third-party service in the app is Google AdMob, as described above.

7. Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Security

Because the app does not send your data to our servers, your settings stay on your device and are protected by Android’s app sandbox.

9. Your Choices

  • Turn off the Accessibility service at any time in Settings › Accessibility.
  • Reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device’s Google / Privacy › Ads settings.
  • Uninstall the app to delete all of its data from your device.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with a new effective date.
